A standard firearm for the US military during World War II, the M1 carbine was a lightweight, easy to use semi automatic rifle. Over 6.5 million M1 Carbines of various models were produced during World War II, by contractors as diverse as General Motors, IBM and the Underwood Typewriter Company.
This modern day reproduction by Chiappa is a fine replica chambered in 9mm Luger. It uses a simple and reliable blowback system, has a modern all-weather synthetic stock, adjustable rear sights, and uses easy-to-find Beretta 92 magazines. It will make a great plinker, small game hunter or truck gun.
