All the classic details of the time honored original are reproduced in today's semi-auto Thompson 1927-A1. This .45 caliber carbine features a finned barrel and genuine American walnut woodwork. It has a blade front sight with an open rear adjustable sight. This Deluxe Semi-Auto model has a pinned compensator for an 18" barrel length. The frame and receiver are machined from solid steel with a blued metal finish, and a fixed buttstock.

I took it out the other day and did some target shooting. The gun was a blast to fire, and I found it to be pretty accurate. The drum magazine jammed twice and I contacted the dealer for advice. It turned out I was not winding it enough. I bought some dummy rounds and tried winding it six clicks and it works perfectly. I did find the bolt is kind of hard to pull back. It's small and the spring is very strong. I've wanted one of these for several years and now I have one, and enjoying every minute of using it. It's worth every penny I spent on it!

I shot this weapon for the first time on Tuesday and it was a riot! It is one of, if not the best weapon I have ever shot! Accurate fire and rapid semi. I was so taken with it.
