If you happen to be a student of the Old West or an admirer of the traditional looks (and nostalgia) of time-honored case hardened colors, we’ve got your corner covered. Our color cased steel-framed rifles now include a side loading gate for rapid magazine top-off while retaining the original tube magazine to unload the rifle without cycling cartridges through the action. These gorgeous-looking lever action rifles are chambered in classic .30-30 and legendary .45-70. The .30-30 features a 20” octagon barrel, straight-wrist stock, 5-shot magazine capacity, and the .45-70 sports a 22” octagon barrel, a pistol-grip stock, and a 4-shot magazine. One of our most appealing steel frame finishes, the colors come from a genuine case-hardening process on the frame and fore-end cap that means no two receivers will look alike. Both models feature fine checkering on the genuine American walnut stocks, an automatic in-hammer transfer bar safety, and the receivers are drilled and tapped for optional scope usage. The barrels are topped with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front sight for those that prefer irons. Sling swivel studs and ventilated rubber recoil pads come standard as well. The .30-30 is the preeminent caliber of choice for millions of deer hunters, while .45-70 will drop anything in the Lower 48. Choose your caliber, and you’re ready to carry on where Great-Grandpa left off. This would be considered a deluxe model in his time, and if he were around today, you’d undoubtedly get an envious nod of approval.
