Concealed-carry pistols on the California roster: the Sig P365, Springfield Hellcat, S&W Shield and Bodyguard, Ruger LCP and Max-9, Kimber Micro 9, Kahr, and the small-frame revolvers (S&W J-frames, Ruger LCR and SP101) that a lot of carriers still prefer. If you are working toward a CCW, the pistol you qualify with is the one on your permit, so it is worth choosing it first.
