This category tracks pistols the California DOJ has recently certified for retail sale, so you can find the latest CA-legal models as soon as they hit the roster. Every pistol here can be purchased by California residents through a licensed dealer, shipped to your local FFL or picked up at our La Mesa store.
What Is the California Handgun Roster?
The California Handgun Roster (officially the Roster of Certified Handguns) is the DOJ's list of handgun models that licensed dealers can sell to California residents. For years, very few new models made the list, which left Californians stuck with older designs. Recent court rulings and law changes have opened the door to newer models, and manufacturers are now submitting more handguns for certification. We add new roster pistols to this page as they become available.
