Crimson Trace RAD Micro Pro Red Dot – 3 MOA
The RAD Micro is Crimson Trace's compact open reflex sight, and the interesting part is the top strap. Crimson Trace designed the housing to deflect force away from the lens if the sight gets dropped, which targets the single most common way a pistol optic dies.
A 3 MOA dot is the most common choice for good reason. Bigger than a 2 MOA for faster pickup under stress, small enough for accurate work at any realistic defensive distance.
It's machined from 7075 aerospace aluminum rather than the 6061 most sights in this class use, and there's a rear sight notch cut into the back to line up with your front iron. The CT MOTION sensor turns the dot on when the gun moves and shuts it off after two minutes of stillness, while an ambient light sensor handles brightness.
