Holosun AEMS Core X2 Red Dot – 2 MOA
The AEMS Core strips the AEMS down to what most shooters actually use. You get the same enclosed emitter and the same large window, with a single clean dot instead of the multi-reticle system. If you've never once toggled to the circle on a multi-reticle optic, this is the version to buy.
This is the red version. Red is the default for good reason: it's the least power-hungry of the three and the most familiar reference for anyone who has run a dot before. A 2 MOA dot is the precision choice. It covers two inches at 100 yards, so it doesn't hide a small target, and it's fine enough to shoot groups with rather than just point with.
Holosun cut parallax roughly in half compared to the original AEMS, which matters when you're shooting from a barricade or rolled onto your side and your head isn't centered behind the glass. The sealed 7075-T6 housing and side-loading battery tray mean you change a battery without breaking your zero.
