Rings do one thing: hold the scope exactly where you put it, shot after shot. Undersized or poorly machined rings are behind more mystery accuracy problems than most shooters realize.
Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. Medium height is the usual answer for a standard hunting scope — enough clearance for a typical 40mm to 44mm objective without raising the scope more than necessary.
