Leupold QRW2 Cross-Slot Quick Release Picatinny/Weaver Scope Rings – 30mm
Leupold has been machining scope mounting hardware in Oregon since long before most of the current market existed, and their ring and base systems are the reference other makers get compared against. Scope rings are the part of the system nobody thinks about until the zero walks. These clamp the scope tube to the base and hold it through recoil, which is a harder job than it looks on a rifle that actually gets shot.
It fits both Picatinny and Weaver rails, which covers nearly everything with a cross-slot rail on top. Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. Steel construction adds weight but resists deformation under clamping force better than aluminum, which is why it stays popular on hard-kicking rifles.
