Leupold Dual Dovetail Gloss Scope Base – Black, Fits Weatherby Mark V
Leupold has been machining scope mounting hardware in Oregon since long before most of the current market existed, and their ring and base systems are the reference other makers get compared against. Scope bases mount directly to the receiver and set the platform everything else references. Fitment is the whole question: the right base for your exact action, or none of it works.
It mounts directly to the receiver, so fitment is specific to the action it was machined for — check the fit before ordering. Steel construction adds weight but resists deformation under clamping force better than aluminum, which is why it stays popular on hard-kicking rifles.
This one is machined specifically for the Weatherby Mark V. Mounting hardware is action-specific, so confirm your exact model and generation before ordering — a base that is close but not correct will not sit square.
