It fits the STANAG rail standard used on many European and military platforms. Sized for a 34mm tube, typical of long-range scopes where maximum elevation travel matters more than weight. 7075 aluminum is the stronger of the two common alloys, roughly 30 percent stiffer than 6061, at the same light weight.
