Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. Extra high rings are for oversized objectives or builds that need the optic well above the receiver, such as a rifle running a clip-on night vision device. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
