It clamps to a Picatinny rail, the MIL-STD-1913 slot pattern used on virtually every modern rifle, so mounting position is adjustable along the rail. Sized for a 1-inch tube, the traditional American standard still used across most hunting scopes. Extra high rings are for oversized objectives or builds that need the optic well above the receiver, such as a rifle running a clip-on night vision device. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
