Just a simple push on the pin with your thumb opens the action for mag changes, then automatically re-locks when you push the receivers together.

Installation looked great appears as it came with the rifle no scratches or scuffs from installation very professional, highly recommend and will use again. It’s unfortunate that the service is even needed in idiotic gun control states however having the peace of mind knowing it’s done correctly and it won’t break it worth every penny.
