Manufacturer details
The Tandemkross Firestarter Titanium Firing Pin for the Browning Buck Mark is 40% lighter than the steel factory pin, so it moves faster and hits the primer before the gun can move.
OK, we’ll be clear: Tandemkross Firestarter Titanium Firing Pin doesn’t make your Browning Buck Mark any more accurate than it already is. But even the steadiest shooters impart slight movements to the gun, so the longer the time it takes to ignite the round after you get the sights aligned in the "sweet spot" on the target, the more likely a tiny movement of your hand diminish your accuracy. So faster lock time = better accuracy.
Faster locktime isn’t the only benefit of the Tandemkross Firestarter Firing Pin: Titanium is harder than steel, so it resists the "mushrooming" that afflicts firing pins after many thousands of strikes and can lead to unreliable ignition. The lower mass hitting the rim of the case also means less deformation of the casing and reduced risk of extraction problems.
