About this flash hider
JK Armament JKMDHDCF14 War Eagle Compensator/Flash Hider Black Nitride Stainless Steel 1/2"x28 Threads 9mm is a flash hider in 1/2 inx28.
Match the thread pitch to your barrel (1/2x28 on most 5.56 and 9mm barrels, 5/8x24 on most .308 and 6.5mm) and the bore to your caliber. A device that is too small for the bullet is dangerous.
California note: a flash hider is a listed feature on a semi-automatic centerfire rifle with a detachable magazine. It works on a fixed-magazine (MagLock or CompMag) build. On a featureless rifle it is replaced with a thread protector or a muzzle brake. See the California Rifle Compliance Guide.
Manufacturer details
The JK HD War Eagle is a compensator, a flash hider, and a QA mount for our suppressors. Machined from heat-treated black nitride 17-4 stainless steel, the War Eagle will serve a lifetime of reducing recoil and flash while acting as a solid hub for your JK Quick Attach Taper Mount-equipped suppressor. As an added bonus, the tough War Eagle acts as an initial blast baffle inside of the suppressor, taking some of the abuse that's otherwise directed at your first suppressor baffle and extending its service life.
