Shield Sights RMSd Polymer Red Dot – 4 MOA
The RMSd is the toughened lens version of Shield's mini sight. A hard-dip acrylic coating lets the lens take roughly ten times the shock impact of the standard lens, which addresses the part of a pistol optic most likely to break when the gun gets dropped.
A 4 MOA dot favors speed. It's easy to find fast on the draw, and at carry distances the extra size costs nothing meaningful in accuracy.
Shield also left off the red reflective filter, so there's no colored tint and a minimal visual signature looking into the sight. The aerospace-grade aluminum body is matte black anodized, the battery drawer is side-accessible so you don't unmount to change a cell, and a variable intensity circuit reads the light on the target rather than around you. It weighs 1.3 ounces and borrows features from both the SIS and the RMSw.
