This Kaw Valley Precision thread protector screws onto a 1/2x28 threaded barrel to cover and guard the threads when no muzzle device is installed. It keeps the threads clean and undamaged and gives the muzzle a finished look. 1/2x28 is the common thread for 5.56 AR-15 and many 9mm barrels.
