About this compensator

Strike Industries JCOMP Gen 2 Compensator - .223/5.56 is a compensator for AR-15.

Match the thread pitch to your barrel (1/2x28 on most 5.56 and 9mm barrels, 5/8x24 on most .308 and 6.5mm) and the bore to your caliber. A device that is too small for the bullet is dangerous.

California note: California defines a flash suppressor by what it does: any muzzle device designed or intended to reduce or redirect muzzle flash. A compensator that only reduces muzzle rise is treated like a brake and works on a featureless rifle; a hybrid that also claims flash reduction counts as a flash hider. Manufacturer details

The SI JCOMP V2 is the classic Type 89 compensator re-engineered and updated for the 21st century. This compensator has an increased muzzle rise compensation, and is compatible with Oppressor and FerFrans concussion reduction devices. The J-COMP concept comes from the Type 89 Japanese assault rifle used by the Japan Self-Defense Forces, the Japan Coast Guard's Special Security Team units, and the Special Assault Team.
