CA Compliance:
California compliance
- Status: Legal to own in California.
- Configuration: Fixed magazine (CompMag), installed by WBT. The CompMag is a fixed 10-round magazine that stays in the rifle and loads one round at a time from the side through a loading port, so the rifle keeps its pistol grip, stock and muzzle device and is never opened to reload. It fits most rifles that take a standard AR-15, AR-10 or AK-47 magazine.
- Magazine: 10-round CompMag, fixed in place; loads from the side.
- Your options: If this page shows a compliance selector, choose the build you prefer and we configure it that way. If not, this is the configuration we offer by default; on AR-pattern rifles and some AKs a different build is often possible, so ask us before you order.

About this rifle
The Heckler & Koch MR556A1 75th Anniversary is an AR-15 platform rifle chambered in .223/5.56 with a 16.5" barrel and a 10-round capacity. WBT configures it for California at our Yuma, Arizona warehouse before it ships.
Manufacturer details
As HK celebrates its 75th anniversary, there is a very limited opportunity to own a piece of their history with four different 75th anniversary MR-Series rifles. Only 500 of each of these rifles will be sold.
This MR556A1 is decorated in Tropentarn, a camo pattern utilized by the German armed forces, or Bundeswehr. The Bundeswehr has fielded various HK weapons uninterrupted since its very first rifle acquisition, the G3, in the 1950s. There is no longer lasting or more valued relationship in HK's history than this one, which they celebrate at this time as well.
Rifles are finished in Cerakote and are tastefully engraved with HK's 75th Anniversary logo and packed in a custom-cut polymer hard case with a commemorative 75th Anniversary coin.

A note on accuracy. We work hard to keep every listing correct, but specifications, images and compliance details come from many sources and can contain errors or change without notice. Images may show a configuration that is not California-legal. If a detail on this page matters to your decision, call us and we will confirm it against the actual firearm before you order. The compliance information here is general in nature and is not legal advice; California and local laws change, and the configuration described is confirmed at the time of sale. All sales are subject to applicable federal, state and local law and to the buyer's eligibility to purchase.
