The Marlin 336 Dark showcases a receiver, lever and trigger guard plate that are CNC machined from alloy steel. Also featured is a cold hammer-forged barrel which results in ultra-precise rifling that provide exceptional accuracy and longevity. The barrel is threaded and sports a factory-installed, match polished, radial muzzle break (5/8'' - 24). A thread protector is also included. Major components feature enhanced durability due to the Graphite Black Cerakote finish. The bolt and lever are nitride-finished for superior wear protection. The stock is a nylon-reinforced polymer with M-LOK attachment slots for the mounting of accessories. A cheek riser is also included for an optimum sight picture when using an optic. The generous recoil pad effectively absorbs recoil and makes for a comfortable shooting experience. A picatinny rail provides a stable mounting surface for scope rings and a variety of optics. The front sight is fiber optic with a tritium ring for improved visibility in low light conditions. The anodized aluminum handguard features M-LOK attachment slots for the mounting of accessories. Flush cup sockets for Quick Detach (QD) sling swivels are located on the buttstock and the muzzle end of the handguard which allows for comfortable carry with a two-point sling. The 336 reliably feeds a wide range of .30-30 Winchester factory ammunition and bullet types. Safety features include a positive, push-button, cross-bolt manual safety and traditional half-cock hammer.
