- Configuration: Featureless, built by WBT: grip fin in place of the pistol grip. The magazine release works normally, so reloads are the same as anywhere else.
- Magazine: Standard detachable, 10-round.
- Your options: If this page shows a compliance selector, choose the build you prefer and we configure it that way. If not, this is the configuration we offer by default; on AR-pattern rifles and some AKs a different build is often possible, so ask us before you order.
- Upgrades: AK-pattern rifles take AK-specific parts only; AR-style grips do not fit, and the MagLock is not an option because an AK receiver does not open to swap the magazine. Rifles that use a standard AK-47 magazine can usually be built with a CompMag instead. The AK options we offer are in California Compliance Upgrades.

Palmetto State Armory AK-101 AKM is an AK-pattern rifle chambered in .223/5.56 with a 16" barrel and a 10-round capacity. Finish: Black, Plum. An AK has a one-piece receiver that does not open like an AR, so the MagLock approach is not available; AKs are built featureless or with a CompMag, as described above.

The Palmetto State Armory AK-101 AKM continues the forward progress of the American Made AK rifle. Following the unparalleled success of the PSAK-103 and PSAK-104, Palmetto State Armory pushes forward with the 100 Series line of AK Rifles with the PSA AK-101 AKM.
The Russian Federation was strapped for cash in the 1990s, which led to the development of what became known as the “Century Line of Rifles”; a series of AKM rifles and carbines designed solely for export. Numbered 101 - 108, the Century Line of Rifles have a special place in the heart of the AK community and come in various configurations and calibers including 5.56x45, 7.62x39, and 5.45x39.
Palmetto State Armory has forged ahead with the AK-101 AKM. The AK-101 AKM is loaded with features such as a gas nitrided barrel, toolcraft hammer-forged front trunnion, bolt, and carrier, 45 Degree Gas Block, AKM Style Front Sight Base, and 1/2x28 threads for all of your suppressor mounting capabilities.
