Barrett Zero-Gap Ultra Scope Rings – 34mm, High, 7075 T-6 Aluminum, Black
Scope rings are the part of the system nobody thinks about until the zero walks. These clamp the scope tube to the base and hold it through recoil, which is a harder job than it looks on a rifle that actually gets shot.
It clamps to a Picatinny rail, the MIL-STD-1913 slot pattern used on virtually every modern rifle, so mounting position is adjustable along the rail. Sized for a 34mm tube, typical of long-range scopes where maximum elevation travel matters more than weight. High rings give clearance for large objective bells, 50mm and up, or for a rifle with a tall comb. The trade is a higher sight line over the bore. 7075 aluminum is the stronger of the two common alloys, roughly 30 percent stiffer than 6061, at the same light weight.
