Trijicon builds mounting hardware to the same standard as their optics, which is to say it's specified for duty use rather than range use. A set of rings is the connection between your optic and your rifle, and it's where a precision setup quietly falls apart if the machining isn't right.
It clamps to a Picatinny rail, the MIL-STD-1913 slot pattern used on virtually every modern rifle, so mounting position is adjustable along the rail. Sized for a 34mm tube, typical of long-range scopes where maximum elevation travel matters more than weight. High rings give clearance for large objective bells, 50mm and up, or for a rifle with a tall comb. The trade is a higher sight line over the bore. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
