Holosun AEMS Green Dot – 2 MOA Dot / 65 MOA Circle
The AEMS was Holosun's answer to the Aimpoint ACRO: an enclosed-emitter micro sight with a viewing window big enough to shoot with both eyes open. Sealing the emitter inside the housing is the whole point. Rain, mud and blowing dust can't reach the LED, so the dot stays whole when an open-emitter sight would be smearing.
The green reticle appears sharper to most eyes than red at matching brightness levels. Shooters with astigmatism often report a cleaner dot in green than in red. The Multi-Reticle System puts a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle, and the two combined on one switch, so you change the reticle to the shot instead of settling for one compromise.
The 7075-T6 housing sits on a four-post mount that puts you at lower one-third co-witness on a standard AR upper, so your irons sit in the bottom of the window rather than through the middle of it. Solar Failsafe keeps the reticle lit off ambient light if the battery ever dies, and Shake Awake wakes the optic the moment the rifle moves.
