The 403 is Holosun's long-running 20mm tube red dot — the budget workhorse that put 50,000-hour battery life and Shake Awake into an optic most shooters could afford. Simple, light, and proven across years of carbine use.
Green is the pick for shooters whose eyes struggle with red. It reads brighter to the eye at the same power level, and it stands out well against dirt, brush and brown targets. This configuration adds Holosun's solar panel, which supplements the battery in daylight and keeps the reticle lit if the cell ever dies. A 2 MOA dot is the precision choice. It covers two inches at 100 yards, so it doesn't hide a small target, and it's fine enough to shoot groups with rather than just point with.
A single clean dot keeps the sight picture uncluttered, and the 20mm tube mounts with standard micro-optic hardware. Holosun has since replaced this line with the ARO series, so remaining 403 stock is worth grabbing if the classic tube format is what you want.
