The 407 COMP is Holosun's stripped-down competition sight: a big 1.1 by 0.87-inch window and one 6 MOA dot. No circle, no toggling. On a timer, a large window and a bold dot beat a feature list every time.
Gold is the least common of the three and the most useful against cluttered natural backgrounds. Against brush, dirt and shadow, it separates from the target in a way red sometimes doesn't. A 6 MOA dot is built for speed. The larger dot catches your eye faster on the draw and under stress, and at the distances most defensive shooting happens, the extra size costs you nothing in practical accuracy.
A single CR1632 sits in a side tray that comes out without pulling the optic, so a battery change between stages doesn't cost you a zero. The aluminum housing uses the RMR footprint, so it drops onto the same slides and plates as the rest of Holosun's full-size line.
