Leupold Rifleman Scope Base – 30mm, High, Black
Leupold has been machining scope mounting hardware in Oregon since long before most of the current market existed, and their ring and base systems are the reference other makers get compared against. A scope base bridges your receiver and your rings. It's a simple part with no tolerance for sloppy fit, because every error here multiplies by the time it reaches the reticle.
It fits the Weaver cross-slot pattern, standard on a huge number of American hunting rifles. Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. High rings give clearance for large objective bells, 50mm and up, or for a rifle with a tall comb. The trade is a higher sight line over the bore. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
