Sig Sauer ROMEO2 Red Dot – 6 MOA, PRO RX footprint
The Romeo2 is Sig's modular answer to the open-versus-enclosed argument: it ships with shrouds that convert it between an open reflex sight and a fully enclosed one. Run it open on the range where weight and sight picture matter, closed for carry where lint and weather are the threat.
A 6 MOA dot is the fast option. The larger dot is easier to find under stress, and at the distances defensive shooting actually happens, the extra size costs nothing in practical accuracy.
The aluminum housing and top-loading battery are built for duty use, and MOTAC motion activation means it's awake when the gun moves. Being able to change the configuration rather than buy a second optic is the practical argument for it.
