Ruger is proud to introduce the Marlin Model 336 rifle chambered in .30-30 Win - the Trapper Series Model 336. The Trapper Series rifles feature a 16.17" barrel, adjustable Skinner Sights and a satin stainless finish. The rifle is fitted to an attractive laminate stock, and is equipped with a big loop lever, spiral-fluted polished bolt and a threaded barrel.

Conceived by hunting and fishing guides in Alaska, the Trapper series is the ideal big-bore rifle that is short, quick-handling, and optimized for hunting or protection from dangerous animals. Based on the same platform as the Marlin SBL Series, the Marlin 336 Trapper boasts a shorter, more maneuverable 16" barrel, offers a bead-blasted, satin stainless finish for low glare in the field and rapid acquisition with the adjustable Skinner Sights receiver-mounted peep sight system.

Receiver, lever and trigger guard plate are CNC machined from 416 stainless steel forgings.
Barrel is made of 410 stainless steel and is cold hammer-forged which results in ultra-precise rifling that provides exceptional accuracy and longevity.
Threaded barrel, with factory-installed thread protector, has a 5/8"-24 pattern to accommodate a muzzle brake or other barrel accessories.
Picatinny rail provides a stable mounting surface for scope rings and a variety of modern optics.
Fiber optic front sight with a tritium ring for improved visibility in low light conditions.
Five-round, tubular magazine with a loading gate located on the receiver.
Soft-rubber buttpad effectively absorbs recoil.
Positive, push-button, cross-bolt manual safety and traditional half-cock hammer.
Reliably feeds a wide range of .30-30 Win. factory ammunition and bullet types.
Durable, laminate buttstock and forend remain dimensionally stable in varying weather conditions.
