Roster Handguns

The California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns is the list of handgun models dealers may sell new in California. A model gets on it by passing drop-safety and firing tests at a certified lab, and a semi-automatic pistol added since 2007 also needs a loaded-chamber indicator and a magazine disconnect; that second requirement is why many pistols sold everywhere else never made the list. Every handgun on this page is on the roster today and ships as the factory built it, with 10-round magazines. We confirm roster status at the time of sale; models do fall off when a manufacturer stops paying the listing fee.
