Holosun ARO EVO Green Dot – 2 MOA
The ARO EVO takes the ARO and adds the two things that separate a budget dot from a duty dot: a 26mm window and Solar Failsafe. The larger window means less housing in your peripheral vision, and the solar panel means the reticle stays lit off daylight even with a dead battery.
This version uses a green reticle. The human eye is most sensitive to green, so the same brightness setting reads noticeably crisper — worth the small premium if you shoot in bright daylight or have trouble picking up a red dot. A 2 MOA dot is the precision choice. It covers two inches at 100 yards, so it doesn't hide a small target, and it's fine enough to shoot groups with rather than just point with.
It keeps the Aimpoint Micro T1/T2 footprint, so the entire aftermarket mount ecosystem is open to you. The 7075-T6 housing is IP67 sealed, and the CR2032 delivers up to 50,000 hours with Shake Awake managing the idle time. Optical quality is good enough that it holds up behind a magnifier, which is where cheaper dots fall apart.
