It mounts directly to the receiver, so fitment is specific to the action it was machined for — check the fit before ordering. Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. High rings give clearance for large objective bells, 50mm and up, or for a rifle with a tall comb. The trade is a higher sight line over the bore. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
