It clamps to a Picatinny rail, the MIL-STD-1913 slot pattern used on virtually every modern rifle, so mounting position is adjustable along the rail. Sized for a 30mm tube, now the most common size on modern scopes because the larger tube allows more elevation travel. Low rings sit the scope as close to the bore as the objective allows, which gives the most natural cheek weld and the least holdover error at close range. Make sure your objective bell clears the barrel. Aluminum construction keeps weight down without giving up the rigidity a mount needs.
