California Legal AK Rifles

AK-pattern rifles are built featureless in California far more often than fixed-magazine, and there is a mechanical reason: the AK receiver is one piece and cannot open at a takedown pin the way an AR does, so an AR MagLock is not an option. Most AKs here ship featureless with a grip fin or Kydex grip wrap, the flash hider removed and a fixed or pinned stock. Rifles that take a standard AK-47 magazine can instead be built with a CompMag, which loads from the side one round at a time and keeps the pistol grip. The listing tells you which build you are buying; the Sparrow, Juggernaut and MegaFin grips made for ARs do not fit AKs.
