Great gun for the price. Extremely accurate, well balanced in hand, nice features like thumb safety is a plus, easy to take down and clean and nice quality feel and looks. What more can you want in a handgun!? Compared to a CZ SP-01 or a Colt 1911 it would be close but I have both so I am good. It is a tad better than the Beretta it replaces in the military. Though I like that the Beretta is all metal and that is where I give the M18 a hit.
Excellent out of the box. Not sure why people cry about the ergos and but it is perfect in my hand - large. Accuracy is as good as my Beretta M9, my CZ SP-01 and P-01. Not as accurate is my Colt 1911 but cmon the 1911 is the king of guns. Shoots a little less accurate than my M&P 45 which was tricked out by Apex Tactical as they were my customers years ago. I don't own a Glock nor would I even want one...They are meh. Trigger is nice nothing great nothing outstanding but good out of the box for me. A femael friend of mine liked the M18 but still prefers the CZ P-01 as a whole but loves the 1911 the most. Hands down my favortie thing about this is the ambi safety a la Colt 1911, M&P 45 and CZ SP-01. I love manual safety on handguns and you just need to train. It has positive feedback to when you switch it to engage and safe. Disassembly is easy and switching the mag release is a cinch compared to a CZ. I run releases on the right. Try it newbs...It is faster and most releases require user intent so there will never be an accidental release. The rail fits my Surefire X300, TLR-7A and Olight Valkyrie so it is good to go. Definitely a nice home defense gun but I use my M&P 45 G1 for that since 2009. Only downside is the plastic finish is easily scratches as done so by my friend's nail. She was sorry but I said. it is ok, It is a tool to be used. I did expect better resiliency. I would buy this Sig M18 again for sure and would recommend it as a nice first gun based on my lady friend.
California legal P320, need I say more?
200 rounds through this thing already. Id recamend greesing the slide before first firing because when I racked the first bulllet the slide didn't go all the way foward but other than that the gun shoots flawlessly with no misfires.
WBT was a pleasure to deal with. The m18 is a quality Sig product and speaks for itself.
