The Super Redhawk Alaskan features a corrosion-resistant stainless steel finish and the patented Ruger transfer bar mechanism, which provides an unparalleled measure of security against accidental discharge. The 44 Magnum model also accepts all factory 44 Special cartridges. The Hogue Tamer Monogrip contains an internal recoil cushion positioned under the web of the hand, and the peg-style grip frame easily accommodates custom grips.
